beach front apartment interior

Stanic Harding Architecture designed the ocean front apartment located at the south end of Bondi Beach. The main concept of this project is how to create a peaceful, simple and serene environment celebrating its world famous location. The apartment must have three bedrooms with a dressing room and separate study room to accommodate his visiting children whilst maintaining a private room for work and rest. This apartment featured an amazing ocean design with huge amount of natural light. The ‘clip on’ aluminum clad balcony enclosures also contributed to the light quality by the use of translucent white ribbed glazing. Although developed for this apartment these lightweight boxes have been used as a solution to redundant balcony spaces for the entire building. A roof terrace completes the connection to the bay and beach. Visit Stanic Harding Architecture website to get more detail information. Ocean Front Apartment Interior by Stanic Harding Architecture

modern riverhouse design

Thanks for Mr Jason M Zerafa who sent us their latest work called Riverhouse Niagara, situated on a riverfront in Niagara Falls. The principal feature of the 1.85 acre site fronting the Niagara River just upstream from the Horseshoe Falls is the long unobstructed river views across the full 164 ft width of the property. The 4700 sq.ft of interior living space and 1200 sq.ft of covered terrace were crafted to embrace this feature and find a balance between the relative transparency encouraged by the views and the privacy concerns of the owners.

Modern Beach House by BARK Design Architects in Marcus Beach Australia

November 17, 2009 By: Momoy Category: Architecture

modern beach house

Here’s the modern beach house located on a few hundred meters from nearby Marcus Beach by BARK Design Architects. This home is a perfect example of a contemporary building with beautiful, sustainable and natural concept. The home surrounding with tropical plants and it make the home atmosphere feel so cool. The basic plan of this house was sketched out in the sand during and early site visit: a simple diagram of two pavilions placed another side of a vulnerable Morton Bay ash that stands as a cynosure to the scale, proportions and life of the house around it. The pavilions are linked by a transparent bride in an arrangement that opens all rooms to light, space and garden views of the north. The main pavilion accommodates living spaces focused around a double-height deck space, for the children and service zone located on eastern pavillion. The parents retreat above is accessed via a transparent stair tower that is by day a contemplative space and by night, a lantern. Materials are simple and lightweight. Floors are Black Japanned chipboard; translucent polycarbonate sheeting wraps around the outer wall of the bridge and the staircase. Color sections arefer to the landscape, either through contrast like Chinese red accents, or concurrence in greys, whites and natural weathering timbers. See the plan and section after the jump.
