Oserian to increase investment in Kenya
Oserian Flower Company has pledged to increase its investment in Kenya despite a tumultuous period which saw labour and farm input costs increase its operational expenditures significantly.
Managing Director, Ron Fasol says additional investments will augment the company’s over the last two years which saw investments in a geothermal plant, new green houses, employee and community welfare ventures and most recently a Pack House.
Speaking during the company’s Employees Day at Oserian Stadium in Naivasha, Fasol said the company had spent more than Sh.16m in its 5,000 employees and community welfare through schools, heath centers, water, roads and other infrastructure.
Oserian is Kenya’s leading grower and exporter of fresh cut-flowers mainly to UK supermarket chains and the Dutch flower auction.
