Plantarium 2006 promises to be yet another successful nursery trade show of interest to retailers as well as for nurserymen, landscapers, green space managers, landscape architects, consultants and others involved in the green industry. In addition to the visually attractive products for the garden, terrace and balcony, there will be an interesting assortment of trees and shrubs eminently suitable for public gardens and other large-scale plantings.

The organizers expect approximately 250 nurserymen, wholesalers, suppliers and organizations from the Netherlands and abroad to offer their products and services this year. A noticeable phenomenon is the extensive entry from the South Netherlands nursery stock region of Zundert. This region has combined efforts in order to present this region internationally. In addition to those from the Netherlands, participants from Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Italy, Poland and the United Kingdom have also registered.

Awards

A number of awards will be presented again this year. An ardently coveted trophy is that of the Best Booth. The winner is one of the participants nominated as the best in their own target group area. These are “Ready to go, Culture, Impulse, Global Green and The Outdoor Room”. Booths are judged by a permanent judging committee (VKC). Judging of new nursery stock introductions, by a committee of the Royal Boskoop Horticultural Society, also takes place at the Plantarium trade show each year.

Opening hours

Plantarium 2006 is open from August 23 through 26. Opening hours are from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM except on Saturday August 26, when Plantarium closes its doors at 5:00 PM.
