The newly formed Ukhrul District Apiculture and Floriculture Society (UDAFS) is all set to organize the first ever District Level Flower Exhibition cum sale at Town Hall Ukhrul on the 18 and 19 of August.

Talking to the media person, Zanyo Varam, chairman UDAFS and W.S.

William, Information and Publicity secy said that the move was necessiated as the district is home to various wildlife and its future use for the mankind.

He added that, it is the first and the only of its kind in the district registered under the Societies Registration Act and warns of any other society/ organization /firm/nursery of the district not to form unnecessary society of the same trade.

They said that the society is in the process to organize another periodical scheme like First ever District Level Bee Exhibition in the month of October 2006 at the same venue.
