A Galway GP and medical herbalist will open her herb garden to the public on Sunday 25 June 2006 from 12 to 6pm.

This is Dr D�lis Clare�s third consecutive year holding the event. Last year, all proceeds went to the Irish Herb Society and Desert Voice, a relief fund for Tsunami survivors.

This year, there will be tours of the garden carried out throughout the afternoon by different medical herbalists from Dr Clare�s team at her herbal clinic Health and Herbs on Sea Road, who will give a talk about the medicinal benefits and lore connected to the herbs.

Dr Clare�s garden is at 44 Seacrest, Knocknacarra. Entrance fee is �5 and this year, all proceeds will go to the Rape Crisis Centre and the Tsunami Housing Project.

Dr D�lis Clare is a practising GP and medical herbalist. She practiced as a GP in London for 20 years and completed a science degree in Herbal Medicine in 1999, before returning to Ireland to open a practice offering the best of both traditional medicine and complementary therapy.

Recently, she won the 2006 Business Professional Women (BPW) Most Innovative Business of the Year Award for her herbal practice.
