Zimbabwe: Seke Allocates Land for Herbal Research
SEKE Rural District Council has allocated land to the Ministry of Health and Child Welfare for herbal research.
In an interview yesterday, Seke district administrator Mr Eric Samunda said the ministry had requested land for a herbal garden and that they allocated it 100 hectares of land in the district’s peri-urban section near Harare South Club in June.
This initiative is part of Ministry of Health and Child Welfare’s effort in promoting research into the make up and efficacy of herbal remedies in all the 10 provinces of the country.
The Government last year held a workshop in Mudzi on herbal therapy and promised that it would inject funds towards research in herbal medicines.
