Garden lovers turned up at MSU Friday for “garden day.” Garden enthusiasts gathered for workshops on ideas and tips to get the best out of their gardens, and the workshops aren’t just for the experts.

Sandy Allen, garden day coordinator: “Garden enthusiasts, they love gardening and they learn more, they learn how plants grow in Michigan and in our garden, they can pick out plants that do well, write them down and grow them in their own yard.”

Other workshops focused on floral design, growing orchids and creating garden paths.
