Garden aid
VISITORS to an Old Town private garden have raised £465 for a charity to help children suffering from a rare chromosomal disorder.
Brenda Dismore opened the ’secret garden’ at her home in Westgate on Sunday to raise funds for the charity Unique, which supports families with affected children.
Her son Julian, now a television producer, has a 21-month-old son, Daniel ,who suffers from the disorder.
“I want to thank everyone who attended, including friends from as far away as Middlesbrough, Leeds and Darlington. Donations are still being received,” said Mrs Dismore.
