Flower show a success despite the hot weather
Despite difficult growing conditions due long spells of hot weather, members of the North Berwick and District Horticultural Society put on an impressive and colourful display at their annual summer flower show.
The standard of pot plant entries was very high but the display of cut flowers and vegetables was a little disappointing due to the difficult growing season.
The show was judged by Neil Davidson of East Linton (pictured left with society president Peter Atkins).
Results of the North Berwick in Bloom Garden competition were also announced.
Spokesman Peter Atkins said that the organisers were pleased that a number of new gardens had been entered and pointed out that more entries would always be welcomed, reminding people that all entrants are awarded a certificate.
Lady Anne-Louise and Sir Hew Hamilton-Dalrymple presented the prizes for both the garden competition and the main prizes for the show.
