Canada’s Garden Expo/Florist Expo Showcases New Product Releases for the Home and Garden
The 2006 Garden/Florist Expo, Canada’s retail buying show for lawn, garden, and outdoor living lines, is expected to draw record crowds to the Toronto Congress Centre and will showcase new and leading edge products.
The show, (October 17-18), will boast over 280 exhibitors, interactive displays and demonstrations on over 51,000 square feet. Partnering with the show on the same dates is the new National Hardware show. One registration will give visitors entry into all three trade shows.
“It’s astounding what Canadians spend each year on gardening and home beautification. This amounted to almost 35 billion dollars last year, so we have to provide new and leading edge products, options and solutions to meet the ever growing consumer needs,” said Paul Day, trade show manager.
Past visitors to the Garden Expo/Florist Expo have stated that the top reasons they visit the Expo are for the new products and ideas, including new plant and floral introductions.
This year’s show will provide a preview for next season’s hot items at new product demos including, SquirNet, an easy, foolproof way to stop squirrels from eating bulbs, a pure white flowering shrub – Hydrangea “Blushing Bride”, glow-in-the-dark art glass bird feeders, and Bloom Bags; an ingenious solution for transporting cut flowers. Attendees will also want to view the new commercially available plants and flowers display that will be featured throughout the two-day event.
Garden Expo/Florist Expo is produced by Landscape Ontario with assistance from Flowers Canada Ontario, both non-profit trade associations. The Hardware Show Canada is produced by Reed Exhibitions.
