Wedding Decor Tips and Trends

Whether your choice of style be of Glamour in the most prestigious venue, or of natural beauty in an outdoor ceremony, this years brides are showing all of their beautiful colours in their truest form! From the gown selection, to the final place setting, this years brides are taking over by storm by selecting from visually tantalizing colours and themes that best reflect their personalities.
Here are a few of the Gift Getters Tips and Trends for Theme Decor of 2005:
For the Glamour & Glitter Bride: Wrap your head table with feather boas and sew in little beading to catch the light. Make your place setting the favour as well, by inserting the guests name in a rhinestone frame. For the centerpiece, place a vase with water, and a floating candle in it. Sprinkle sparkles in the water for a sparkling reflection, and wrap the base of the vase with a feather boa. Just for fun, have your bridesmaids enter the reception wearing feather boas!
For the Angelic Bride: Same concept as the Glamour Bride, use the feather boas for the head table for an angel theme. Angelic bowl shaped centerpieces by candlelight create an angelic ambience. Place white cakes on pillars, with an angel on top. Matching candle favours will be a favourite home decor addition for your guests. Have your flower girl wear angel wings instead of carrying flowers.
For the Mystic Bride: Most suitable outdoors, a fantasy is in the making, and what would be more suitable than butterflies? Wrap your head table edging with ivy, place satin winged butterflies or dragonflies throughout. Place a lantern style candleholder on the table as your centerpiece as one lucky guest will enjoy it in their garden for years to come. Have your bridesmaids wear a butterfly in their hair, or a butterfly necklace. Place butterflies throughout the bouquets, and on your cakes. As a favour, place a chocolate butterfly in a princess box, and tie it with a pink ribbon. Turn your flower girl into a winged fairy by giving her butterfly wings to wear. This is a beautiful addition to your photos, and something your guests will find unique and memorable!
For the Sweet Bride: Does the Bride & Groom have a sweet tooth? Use your sweet tooth as a theme, and make it fun for your guests as well! Place a round serving tray (use a bright colour!) in the center of your guests table. Place a candle in the center of the tray, and surround the candle with different sized jars filled with different candies. Place Chinese take out boxes in front of the guests plate with a little label that says, Sweets for the Sweetest. Your guests can help themselves by filling up their takeout boxes with their favourites to bring home and enjoy.
For the Baking Bride: Is the Bride best known for her talent as a Baker? By baking your favourite cutout cookie in the shape of your theme, and writing your guests name on the cookie in colourful icing, you have a favour and place setting in one! A take out box with fresh baked cookies is also a nice treat!
