Walk off some of those holiday calories with a trip to Tohono Chul Park, where you can wander its 49 acres in search of hummingbirds, native plants and much more. And while you’re there, pop into the gallery, where “Fur and Feathers, Spines and Scales, Pods and Petals: The Artwork of Donna Gaylord” is on display through Jan. 22. Gaylord’s detailed works – in gouache, pastel, graphite, ink, colored pencils and silver point – evoke the beauty of the desert and her love of it. In the exhibit hall, “Visions of the Land” culls the works of a number of Southwestern artists. Park admission is free Christmas Day, but the gallery will be closed.
