A Rossendale florist has been recognised as one of the country’s best.

Base, in Crawshawbooth, has been accepted as a Master Florist in a directory of the UK’s top flower shops.

The Burnley Road shop is one of the first florists in the recently-launched directory, which aims to help members of the public find quality florists in their area.

All Master Florists have to pass a strict selection process, and submit a portfolio of the shop’s work, to be approved by an independent panel of industry experts.

Base’s accolade comes a year after it won a silver medal in the Flower Shop of the Year competition.

Owner Emma Ashworth said: We are delighted to be accepted as a Master Florist.
