Flower festival returns in March
Spring is just around the corner, and so is Festival des Fleurs.
The 18th annual Festival des Fleurs garden show and sale will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 31 and April 1 at Blackham Coliseum, 2330 Johnston St.
Plants of all kinds, garden supplies and accessories, pottery, tools, books and more will be available under one roof at the popular Lafayette tradition. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the day both Saturday and Sunday.
In addition to the Lafayette Garden Club’s Flower Show, the Bonsai and Orchid Societies will present educational displays.

Registration for a plant swap will begin at 2 p.m. April 1 at the Ira Nelson Horticulture Center. An informal swap of plants will start at 1 p.m.
Proceeds from the show will benefit the Ira Nelson Horticulture Center, which is an instructional laboratory facility of UL. The center’s goal is to educate students and the community about the world of horticulture.
