Garden symposium to focus on hydrangeas, garden design
Rosemary Alexander, founder and principal of The English Gardening School at Chelsea Physic Garden in London, will be the featured speaker at the Rochester Civic Garden Center’s annual spring symposium.
The symposium runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 3 in the Eisenhart Auditorium at Rochester Museum & Science Center, 657 East Ave.
Alexander will give two talks: “Garden Design Today” and “Principles of Planting — A Professional Approach to Planting a Garden.”
Local hydrangea expert Tim Boebel, nursery manager at Wayside Garden Center in Macedon, will also give a talk, “Hydrangeas, Hydrangeas — How to Get Consistent Blooms from these Unreliable Favorites.”
