The Grandest Wedding Fair of 2007
The Philippine wedding industry gears up for its biggest celebration ever in the 10th Wedding Expo Philippines. Scheduled on March 10 and 11, 2007 at the PICC Forum, this event will feature—in a 5,000 sq. m. wedding wonderland, over 300 suppliers, from fashion designers, caterers, cake designers, limousines providers, photographers, videographers, invitation makers, dessert chefs, giveaways suppliers, makeup artists, and other professionals involved in the most romantic day of one’s life. As the launch venue of choice of the local wedding industry, soon-to-weds can expect new products, services, and companies to debut at the Wedding Expo. The main exhibit of Wedding Expo Philippines, styled by Robert Blancaflor, will be at Forum 2 of the PICC Forum. Wedding Expo Philippines is the country’s biggest, most comprehensive, and most respected wedding fair since 2002. It has consistently brought together the best wedding suppliers in one venue to present the widest variety of choices for soon-to-weds. Through Themes & Motifs – The Special Events Co., its producer and organizer, Wedding Expo Philippines is greatly instrumental in professionalizing the fledgling Philippine wedding industry, helping it become the thriving, vibrant, and dynamic community it is.
Thanks to its novel concepts, it has become the benchmark for other events. Wedding Expo Philippines was the first to have its own website and to employ an online pre-registration system. It also introduced the category zoning concept—putting together wedding suppliers of the same service in one area—thus allowing soon-to-weds to conveniently view their choices side-by-side, making finalizing their choices easier. Wedding Expo Philippines is also the first to have its own jingle, ‘Everything I Need’ (now a full song), composed by multi-awarded international singer-songwriter Trina Belamide. Pre-registered soon-to-weds will receive a free commemorative CD sampler featuring 10 great wedding songs performed by various musicians and entertainers participating in the Wedding Expo.
IDEAS, The Wedding Expo Philippines Resource magazine, now on its fifth issue, will be launched during the Wedding Expo. With guest editor Bangs Zaldivar of 1 Zaldivar Event, the latest issue of IDEAS is a treasure trove of wedding tips from guest writers Jason Magbanua, Trina Belamide, and Rita Neri (who will be on hand during selected hours of the fair to sign copies of her latest bestseller, ‘The New Essential Wedding Workbook’). The 10th Wedding Expo Philippines introduces another novel concept in 2007: two major sub-events supporting the main wedding fair. The first sub-event is KASALitrato at Forum 1 of the PICC Forum, which promises to be the biggest gathering of wedding photographers and videographers in the country, bringing together the country’s brightest names in wedding photography and videography. Official event stylist is Tony Rodriguez. Participating photographers will be offering free special pre-nup onsite studio pictorials and a sale of wedding albums. KASALitrato is co-presented by the Wedding & Portrait Photographers of the Philippines (WPPP) with Metro Magazine and The Philippine Daily Inquirer. The second sub-event at Forum 3 of the PICC Forum is Wedding Banquets Manila 2007 , the country’s first and only wedding food and beverage expo featuring wedding caterers, cake artists, wine suppliers, alternative desserts, chocolate fountains, and other banquet-related suppliers. This pioneering effort to showcase Filipino gastronomic artistry in weddings is led by Hizon’s Catering and styled by Henry Pascual, with Wedding Essentials Magazine and The Philippine Star as major sponsors Soon-to-weds and guests may enter for free when they pre-register through www.themesnmotifs.com. Wedding Expo Philippines is supported by the Department of Tourism. Event partners are Paper Elegance World-class Invitations, T&M Gifts, and MyWeddingNetwork.com. Media Partners are Manila Bulletin’s About Weddings, 88DB.com, and Inquirer.Net. For details visit www.themesnmotifs.com or call (632) 371.9783 / (632) 818.9794.
