Annual flower-garden show a blooming success
The Chicagoland Flower & Garden Show closes its first appearance in Rosemont at 6 p.m. today.
After a long run at Navy Pier, this harbinger of spring moved to the suburbs this year at Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, 5555 N. River Road.
Check out some of our favorite scenes from the show.
Aquascape Inc. of St. Charles shows the latest in water features, including basalt stone columns that bubble water all year long.
James Martin Associates of Vernon Hills’ Enabling Garden uses charming touches like an old pump as a fountain and a bicycle to hold planters. It shows ways people with arthritis or other conditions can continue to garden.
And we’d all want gazebos if we had flower gardens like Cypress Group Inc. of West Chicago built around a few of the wooden structures by Leisure Woods Inc.
