Spring is officially here. And for many, that means it’s time to start gardening.

You can get plenty of great ideas and tips at this weekend’s Boise Flower and Garden Show being held at the Boise Centre on the Grove.

The 11th annual event features more than 150 booths and displays including a huge exhibition of orchids, which are availble for sale.

The show also includes unique ways to decorate not only your yards, but condo and loft balconies and patios.

“There are so many good ideas from speakers on how to get started on your yard, the right type of plants that grow well in boise. You should come inside, maybe in the morning, get your good ideas, maybe buy some plants and take them home, and enjoy the nice weather outside,” said Diana Montgomery, the event manager.

The show runs through Sunday.

Tickets are $7 for adults and $2 for kids seven to 12 years old.
