Get a head start by planting flower or vegetable seeds indoors

There are many different methods. But basically you need the right seed and potting mix and the right combination of water, heat and light – all of which may require some experimentation (which is part of the fun).
Petunias, marigolds, snapdragons, spinach, lettuces, cauliflower, broccoli and cabbage are some of the most popular seeds for starting early indoors.
