March 30, 2007 By: Momoy Category: Flowers, EventsThe Landscape Design Council of Massachusetts presented two awards at the Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s 2007 New England Spring Flower Show to New England Land Artisan of Stratham.
The show ran March 17-25 at the Bayside Expo Center in Boston.
Landscape Design Award I is given for excellence in landscape design of a professional NESFS garden exhibit of less than 1,000 square feet. The judging panel described Land Artisan’s exhibit as “a tranquil and harmonious retreat with effective blend of contrasting materials.”
Landscape Design Award II is given to an NESFS exhibitor for the effective use of garden ornaments, water features, specimen trees, or topiary. The judge’s comments for this award stated, “Balanced stone structures are integral to rhythmic composition. Stones flow through garden, leading visitors through dominant, central arch to unique obelisk. Specimen bamboos and hillocks of moss lend tranquility to the space.”
Land Artisan provides landscape construction and horticultural services, specializing in authentic New England dry-lay stonework.
