Mag thieves must enjoy gardening
March 30, 2007 By: Momoy Category: GardenMagazines worth nearly £150 have been stolen from a bundle outside WH Smith while workers loaded stock into the store.
The magazines were stolen between 7am and 7.40am on Saturday, March 24.
They were taken in three royal-blue plastic boxes, with light blue lids, from behind the shop in the Magnolia Centre.
Prior to the theft, two teenage males wearing “hoodies” were seen in the area.
PC Sean Cashin of Exmouth said: “It may be that the thieves wanted to surprise their families by doing some DIY and gardening over the weekend - most of the magazines were Gardeners’ World and Country Life.”
The company is keen to recover the magazines and particularly the three plastic boxes.
