Right after the parade, the 46th annual Sakura Matsuri Japanese Street Festival will begin. It will take place in the area around the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and 12th Street, just north of the parade route. The national festival includes free Bloomin’ Junior Ranger programs for kids 7 to 12. The event, running through April 15, takes place in an activity tent near the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, with crafts and talks about the environment.
