A movable garden
Even if summer is still poised on the threshold, and the air carries with it a chill now and again, you can cheer up the entrance to your house or your terrace with flowers arranged in pots, or flower boxes spilling over with color…
Here, on a small wooden bench, a terracotta pot adds a country allure to this corner of the yard. On the terrazzo floor, two other pots in which hyacinths and other outdoor flowers have been planted set the tone for the beautiful days of spring by adding life and color to the decor. Don’t forget! Once the sun has set, your “movable garden” should be placed inside in order to protect it from the drops in temperature not uncommon at the beginning of spring.
Opening the door for spring
Spring is knocking at your door – so open it wide! Attractive accessories carefully placed to one side of the entrance to your house can have a very welcoming effect. A pretty bouquet of flowers and dried branches set in a large earth-hued vase close to the door celebrates the arrival of the sun and warm weather. And next to it, the doormat that is another sure sign of spring!
Lighting arrangements
Even before your plants and shrubs are fully in bloom, you can create wonderful effects with a well thought out lighting plan. Here, small lanterns have been set alongside a flowering shrub, serving to highlight nature renewed and vivid contrast in colors and allowing you to create a charming nocturnal decor. For increased effect, you might vary the height of the lanterns according to the layout of your garden. Use your imagination! Spectacular effects in no time and at very little cost are yours to create.
