Rick’s received a Blue Ribbon for the Best Decorated Large Garden Accessory Booth. The award was given based on booth content, layout and decoration that pertained to the show’s Irish theme.

The items, which were showcased at the show, were a vinyl Spa House, complete with home entertainment system; a vinyl gazebo a new design for 2007, and a vinyl swing set. The Spa House, which is a brand new item this year, has sliding glass doors, large windows, ceiling fan and lights, exterior lighting package with a lit cupola, gable end and carriage lights. It also has a unique home entertainment package and is suitable for housing a spa or hot tub.
Owners Rick and Terry Yannuzzi and store manager Bill Talbot compiled the layout, which was designed by sales associate Dave Derr.

Decorations included a potted plant arrangement with green glass shamrocks, hanging ivy baskets with leprechauns and small Irish flags, toddler size dolls in fairy costumes, and miscellaneous Irish-themed decorations.

A white vinyl post and chain fence with shamrocks bordered the swing set. The Spa House featured a flat screen TV and stereo system. Two custom-made DVDs put together especially for Rick’s Sheds featured scenes from the store, the showroom, and the many items for sale on their large display lot.

This is the second blue ribbon for Rick’s Sheds. The previous one was awarded two years ago when the Flower Show theme was “America the Beautiful.”
