Barbara McGuire and Millie Lee, co-owners of Atlantic Avenue Orchid & Garden Center (AAOGC), announced today that a Pond Extravaganza event will be held this Saturday, May 5 from 8a.m. to 3p.m. at the center. Pond experts will be on hand to construct a new pond, educate guests on pond maintenance and answer questions.

In addition to the construction project, all fish, aquatic plants and pond merchandise will be 25 percent off, and the first 20 customers who purchase a Japanese Koi will receive a free bag of Dainichi Koi food. The center will also host the following free aquascape seminars:

§ 10 a.m.—Spring Start Up
§ 11 a.m.—Water Plants
§ 1 p.m.—Thinking About A Pond

“Our pond extravaganza is a great way for everyone to prepare for their upcoming outdoor pond project,” said Monica Humphries, marketing and special events manager for AAOGC. “Gardening enthusiasts can take advantage of the great specials offered while learning some great tips from our free seminars.”
