Florist on the ball as he heads for Chelsea Flower Show
A TALENTED South Yorkshire florist is showing off his skills at Britain’s most prestigious flower show.
Jonathan Moseley, from Coal Aston, is such a big name in the natural world he has been invited to be a demonstrator at the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show.
The 36-year-old is a member of the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies so is no stranger to airing his abilities in front of crowds of people.
But he is particularly looking forward to presenting his plant proficiency at Britain’s top flower show.
“Demonstrations are always enjoyable and this is a very special one,” said Jonathan who has been fascinated by flowers since childhood.
“I was invited last year and I had a great time so I am really looking forward to it.”
Jonathan, who has worked in the industry for over 20 years, will showing off his flower arranging expertise to visitors today and tomorrow.
He has been invited to demonstrate on the public days so as many people as possible can share his skills.
“I will be taking my own products with me, sourced from the Sheffield area and a number of plants from my own garden,” said Jonathan
“It is something I am very passionate about and have been for as long as I can remember. It is a life-long love.”
Jonathan’s job takes him all over the world as he arranges flowers for weddings and other special occasions.
He also teaches flower arrangement at Doncaster College and next year hopes to travel to Pakistan to take part in a world show.
