The Grand Street Residence, rooftop exterior landscape project by Andrew Berman Architects. That’s an exciting roof garden with wonderful views of Midtown. A section of the top floor of the building was excavated to create a greenhouse. The greenhouse brings light into the deep floor plate of the sixth floor, and houses the citrus trees and more delicate planting during winter. The living space of the penthouse are linked to the adjacent exterior landscape spaces, which includes decks, a lawn, planting bed, a fish pond, and productive kitchen garden.
