Prefab Farmhouse Design by Hudson Architects

Cedar House is a sample of prefab house that was made using modern technology. Its different than another prefab house that has been published here before. Cedar house design is inspired by simple forms of functional farm buildings that has two bedrooms which can be used as home office or guest rooms. This modern prefab design is clad in 15,000 natural cedar shingles (roof and all!) and wrapped in wide windows that welcome the view. Outside the four-by-two-meter windows and expansive glazed doors that open onto a deck. This house is located in the countryside of North Elmham, it’s a beautiful environment with a river and surrounded landscape. Visit Hudson Architects website for more detail.

I like it! I don’t llike the mod. white in the other entries that architects are putting on. I like the shakes and the nice picture win. views.
1Im not sure why architects are insisting on designing mega houses-do they charge by the square foot? This is a nice elegant design but I surely dont need 3000 sq ft (or whatever these houses mushroom to). Im part of that aging group whose children have left-my wife and I can easily live in 1000 sq ft. Ive been searching for months for a small modern house set of plans but can only find the conventional standard cute cottage type. Theres a whole big market out there!! Someone come up with plans for a house larger than the weeHouse but smaller than a Ricco offering, in the smae vein though!! Cheers.
