How to Determine an Appropriate Spot Light in Bathroom

To give the desired optimum effects, it is important to choose the right kind of lamp for your bath room and to decide on where to install it. General lighting is the basic requirement for the bath room with the main purpose to give equal light distribution anywhere inside the room. There are many options to it, one of the good choices would be to install down light fluorescent on several spots that enable it to shine on almost all side. Of course, General lighting serves more as an all purpose lighting. For specific activities, the bath room still requires additional lighting tailored at the activities, e.g. showering, putting on a makeup, or any other bath room activities. Down light fluorescent or down light halogen is suitable for bathtub especially when placed on ceiling parallel to the center of the bathtub. Is it also a good choice to utilize a dimmer so that the lighting can be adjusted to the prevailing mood.

For the shower box, it is a good idea to put the light right above the shower. Again, down light fluorescent or down light halogen is a good choice. The heat from the lamp can also serve as a help to the drying up process after the shower has just been used. When used as place to put on a makeup, the indirect lighting is the most suitable method. This can be done by directly install the lamp on the side of the mirror. The purpose of the indirect lighting is to prevent blinding effect as a result from direct light exposure.
