The UNStudio design results in a loft with walls that flow through the space and ceilings to create hybrid of art gallery and living areas. The challenge is answered with curved walls capable of creating comfortable zone that hits the balance between domestic use and wall space for the display of art. This is the place when one could aim to merge life and art in daily interactions.
the ceiling serves more like the source of light that creates a field of ambient and local lighting conditions. The ceiling is back-lit by 18,000 led lights and serves to balances the proportions of the loft and flexible enough to be programmed to provide various shades of light, from the coolest, most neutral daylight, to warmer tones.
The exhibition wall blends into led illuminated library shelves and a display case that is able to create uniform and seamless space, which is made possible double curved glass fiber reinforced gypsum paneling. As the last element, the even-toned floor provides unifying base for the space, furniture, and art as floating elements in changeable constellations.
