This new area of food and conviviality Built on the model of the “village square” as a point of reference and social life in the heart of the space was conceived as an island and its archipelago where several micro-spaces are delicately scattered to the ground but connected them to compose a universe that is both open and intimate. Germain is a three storey Parisian restaurant designed by Iranian-born and Paris based architect, India Mahdavi. The main characteristic of the restaurant is a massive yellow sculpture of a woman in an overcoat and high heel. Its lower half stands on the café’s first floor while the upper body and head break through the ceiling to the upper level VIP lounge area. Trina Turk is a stunning Pillow Store interior designed by Art Office Architecture. This store located adjacent to her Palm Springs clothing boutique. The simple store interior with formal gestures of white surfaces combined with varying textures allowing Trina’s strong and colorful fabrics to be highlighted. The roof has colored in yellow and decorates with spherical ceiling lamps adding an artistic touch of this store interior. An undulating wall, holding display boxes and the cash wrap, moves through the space and is coated with a three-dimensional version of one of Trina’s signature fabrics.
