Wedding Gift Ideas

March 22, 2007 By: Momoy Category: Wedding Gift, Wedding Plans

If you are having a wedding and are trying to limit the amout of toasters that you get as wedding gifts, then a good idea may be to have a “comunual wedding gift shopping list.”

This is simply going to give your guests a few ideas of what you need as far as gifts go. Try to remember that your guests may not always be able to spend fortunes on a wedding gift for you. Keep it simple, keep it to things that you are going to be needing for your new home and life you are going to be sharing with your new spouse.

Another way of getting gifts that you need for your home is to have a theme when you have your engagement party or bridal shower is to set themes, like a bathroom party or a bedroom party.

February good for romance, not weddings

February 15, 2007 By: Momoy Category: Wedding Gift

Proposals are a dime a dozen on valentine`s day but what about weddings?

Before couples say “I do”, they have to make a trip to the County Recorder of Deeds Office.

That`s where one woman said, Valentine`s Day happens year round.

For almost 30 years, Karen Higginbotham has been helping couples in Buchanan County tie the knot.

About wealth and integrity

January 08, 2007 By: Momoy Category: Wedding Gift, Wedding Plans

“Should Stamen Stanchev having answered the invitation to Codrut Seres wedding, which would have been the value of the gift?” Without intending, political class awoke us from the happiness which marked passing from one year to another. Publishing their wealth statements, Ministers and MPs make us admire again their skills in becoming richer while fulfilling their mandate. None has ever become poorer in the past 17 years.

We do not want to fall into the populist thinking trap, which sentences any type of wealth. Comparing equality (in fact, an illusion) within the poverty offered by Socialism with the uneven distribution generated by Capitalism, each understands, even if one does not like this, that Capitalism only generates wealth.

Within a healthy political and economic system, wealth generates welfare for others as well, by means of investments and acquisitions of goods and services. But issues emerge when wealth intersects with the political class. Thus, we are not concerned with the welfare increased through legacies or accidental transactions, but we could not remain calm when the ex Minister of Economy, Codrut Seres, and the Minister of Education, Mihail Hardau, cite the wedding gift as a source for their increased welfare. Mr. Seres was given EUR 70,000 by the participants at the wedding, and Mr. Hardau was successful in gathering old ROL 1 bln. following the gift received by his son at his wedding. We shall leave behind the huge wonders related to the amounts given at the wedding of a Minister. Should Stamen Stanchev having answered to the invitation extended to the wedding of the ex Minister of Economy, which would have been his gift? The most important issue related to the wedding gift is another one, and this is the fact that one may not control it, and consequently, it may mask an origin less honest of the amounts declared. When money does not come from accounts, but from envelopes – as it is customary during weddings – we have not only the right, but we ought to be suspicious.

Bridesmaid Gifts Ideas

December 02, 2006 By: Momoy Category: Wedding Gift

The ladies you select to be your bridesmaids are very important to you – they are usually family members and dear friends who you have a close relationship with. They will help you to organize your wedding, and they will calm your nerves when the planning starts to stress you out. Tradition says that they ward off evil spirits so that the bride can safely enter into a happy marriage. Since your bridesmaids play such an important role in the wedding party, you will want to pick out gifts that will reflect your gratitude and your love for them. You want to select something that captures the spirit of your friendship, and the significance of this day in your life.

Here are some suggestions:

1. Charm Bracelets. There really is something special about charm bracelets. Each tiny charm is a symbol of something personal to the recipient. If you decide to give your bridesmaids charms bracelets, they should all have some of the same charms and some different ones. For example, you might give everyone a wedding charm, such as a miniature wedding dress, or wedding cake… there are lots of wedding-related charms out there. You might also give everyone a heart charm, or a horseshoe, clover, or wishbone charm for good luck. Then you should select different charms, like a horse charm for your cousin who loves riding, or an apple for your friend who is a teacher. If any of your bridesmaids are mommies, you can get charms that represent each of their children. You could also get their initials as charms. Women love getting these bracelets as gifts because they are so thoughtfully selected, and they are so unique. They will be able to wear these at your wedding, so make sure that you get either silver or gold, depending on which one you will be wearing.
