Small Concrete House with Unique Geometrical Shape by Torafu

Tokyo based Architects, Torafu have designed this one story family home located in Yokohama, Japan. The house built on 230 square meters area with 67.35 square meters constructed area, the exterior is made of cast concrete with unique geometrical shape. The main living area is no larger than approximately 7.5 x 7.5 meters, but the architect give appropriate distance among the scenes of food, clothing and housing by moderately separating every space along the arris of the ceiling and by making the most of the height of the ceiling itself. As opposed to the concrete substrate surface of the exterior, the walls and the ceiling are painted white and given a bright and homogenous finish. Villa Astrid – Beautiful Cliff House in Sweden by Wingardh

Villa Astrid is a beautiful building on West Swedish Landscape. Designed by Wingardhs design studio this villa was dictated by the local building code, which stipulates a 3.5-metre eaves height and a roof pitch between 14 and 27 degrees. The two storey villa with exotic interior design, the first floor contains the bedrooms and other private space, and the second floor has an open-plan kitchen, a separate dining room and a large lounge, for outdoor relaxing it has an outdoor lounge with outdoor fireplace. The exterior was made from concrete, insulated with foamglass and the clad with metal sheeting. . The glazed sections resemble holes cut out of solid copper armour plating. The structure is very robust. Concrete roof beams insulated with foam glass repose on the walls of lightweight concrete, giving a totally impervious structure beneath the skin of patinated copper. Copper ions are neutralised by crushed limestone round the foundation.
