The first assumption after seeing this building for the first time hampers us from believing that it is such a store. Instead, it resembles to a well-organized office with a very unique arrangement and feature. However, Hofstede Optiek has adopted the style of modern office in the attempt to transform into a comfortable place to shop and to exhibit distinctive masterpiece from the architect. The eyewear store looks so appealing for its apparent curved areas similar to the movement of the waves. The wood grain dominates the entire building creating a sense of peculiarity. It seems that Alexander Nowotny intends to create such a gallery for displaying the products and it enables the customers to find something fit them in a relaxing situation so it is no hurry for them to seek what they want to buy.

The basic concept of this new store of Marithé+François Girbaud was the connection between the historical shop at Etienne Marcel (open in 1985) and the former Vespa store-workshop in rue Montmartre that was acquired in 2008. The idea of connecting these two spaces originate from a certain notion of destruction without becoming trash that was part of the brand’s bold creativity, as the architect puts it, “Therefore, we find charred, black wood that is almost burned to ashes, leaving very little of the original material as well as natural wood that lends credibility to the “luxury work garment”. Here’s the Bape clothing store that was located at 333A Orchard Road, Mandarin Gallery, Singapore. The store interior was look so exciting emitted the youth energy, the attention to detail is superb, from the pulsing neon lights to the embossed leather couches, it is very apparent that a lot of effort has gone into giving the store its own unique identity.
