Prefab House with Sloping Meadow Roof – Landhouse by Mark Merer

house with sloping roof design

Landhouse is prefabricated home constructed of SIPs (structural insulated panels) and feature sweeping green roofs that residents can treat as their own personal meadows. This energy-efficient house has flexibility that goes well with what home owner wants. In spite of the very insulated basic structure, sustainability can be improved upon by installing ground source energy, heat exchangers, solar panels and more. A beautiful example of a completed Landhouse is Swinomish housing project which is built with the idea taken from the Swinomish Tribal People of Fidalgo Island Washington State and the goal is to construct an environmentally sensitive scheme.
