There are many things a container can do. One of them is being an art studio as demonstrated by Maziar Behrooz Architecture. This simple design consists of two 9’-6” x 40’ x 8’ shipping containers that are capable of prividing 700 sq m space and perched over a 9’ foundation wall/cellar. Large part of the floor is cut so that it is possible to lower the floor for additional height as the ceiling. The resulting floor is lower and can be accessed via staircase that can also serve as a transitional space for viewing art work. The upper level provides a more intimate work area and a sitting area. See the floor-plan drawing for more detail about this house.
