Concrete cracks garden is a perfect garden design for small space, inspired by the tenacious plants of urban landscape. This garden concept recently received an an ASLA Honor Award in Residential Design for maintaining the site’s previous identity. It’s a small budget garden design and easy to apply in the backyard, it could be transformed through hostile takeover of an existing concrete slab by imposing a series of “cracks”. The rows of this garden contain a lushly planted mix of herbs, vegetables, flowers, and rogue weeds retained for their aesthetic value.
